The time has come when we ask students in Year 9 to choose their optional subjects to study during Years 10 and 11 (Key Stage 4). We look forward to being able to guide students through this process which will, for many, be the first major life choice they will make. To help the students in this decision-making, we have produced an information booklet which your child should have received from their tutor (A digital version is available below). Subject teachers will also be delivering presentations in lesson time which provide information about their courses at Key Stage 4. Please encourage your child to spend some time reading through this information, so they are clear about the options open to them and fully understand the nature of each course.
The presentation from the recent Parents’ Information Evening on Thursday 8th January, where the options process was explained in more detail, alongside other valuable information for our Year 9 parents and students, appears below. You will also find a link to access a Google form to select option subjects.
Year 9 Parents’ Evening will take place on Wednesday 28th and Thursday 29th January. Appointments can be booked HERE from Friday 23rd January at 6pm. The system will close at 11:55pm on Tuesday 27th January.
